Major release

Finally, a new version (4.0.0) of the app is available on the Google Play Store. Since last year, a lot of features has been added (see here for all of them). First, the Windmeter, the cheaper anemometer (~60$) from WeatherFlow may now record air speed. It doesn't record temperature, humidity and pressure as the WeatherMeter device though (~90$). Second, the BlueFly vario may also be connected (some personal notes about it here): the interest for CdaCrr is mainly, for the moment, to provide a very precise barometer (+/-10cm) to compare for instance virtual elevations and real ones to validate the Cda and Crr estimations or to detect some oddities. So, currently, the app may records data from 5 sensors (power, speed, heart rate, air speed, barometer) and sometimes the app suffers unhappily from disconnections between the phone and its sensors. At last, the app is based more and more on BLE protocol (device detection has been improved, see there) and ANT+ will be less and less supported.

Hi,

I ordered a weather meter anemometer in beginning of December. It's still in shipping to my country.
My power meter (SRM) only works with ANT+ protocle. Will app CdaCrr be working togehter with weather meter (Bluetooth) ane Garmin speed sensor (ANT+)?

I have a premium version of the app but I am not sure right now how it will be working with all sensors (ANT and bluetooth) ;/

You would select into the settings "Prefer ANT+ sensors" to connect with ANT+ only powermeter or speed sensor. WeatherMeter will be connected with BLE and it should work. Please also notice the warning "old Ant+ Garmin model is not working with the app". It is about the Garmin GSC10.

Thanks for explanation! :) I will make some tests in the spring with SRM powermeter. I hope I will save some watts after testing.

Does Sony Xperia Active (with ANT+ support) still work with the app? Or should I buy a newer device (with ANT+ because I have power meter with ANT+).

Many thanks
Alex

Sorry Alex, Sony Xperia Active is too old now for the app. May be, you could find some used ANT+ phones (e.g. Samsung J5/S5/S4 but not the S4 mini) at limited price (<80$) to give a try with your ANT+ PM. Not also that BLE is the default and only supported protocol for the app now and ANT+ should be enabled into the settings.
